The most beautiful and prestigious championship wrestling belt of all time: the design, the legacy, the history, everything.... from Lou Thesz to Harley Race and Ric Flair. Real championship wrestling belt. Country fags and gold gave an addional look!
I only grew up and was born in the 90s and was introduced to the Ruthless Aggression Era, so I don't know much about the old school wrestlers from that generation, but that belt, judging by the looks of it, looks very prestiges. It's simple yet but still works!
Legends like Ric Flair, Dusty Rhodes, Terry Funk, Harley Race, Ricky Steamboat, Sting have hold that beautiful belt. - even modern-era Star wrestlers like AJ Styles, Cody Rhodes. The NWA World Heavyweight Title for what is was & is, shares that N°1 spot along with the WWE Championship title
Yep. Vincent J McMahon(Founder of the WWWF)came from the NWA.
My personal opinion is this guy had no reason being apart of anything involving wrestling
Is that adam pearce
Yeah
"The Ten Pounds Of Gold".....when even the casual Wrestling Fan hears that said, they know exactly what is being talked about. The N.W.A. Worlds Heavyweight Wrestling Championship Belt will ALWAYS be the Holy Grail Of Wrestling.
This is the title that I totally respect because of its history, lineage, legacy, tradition, and prestige because of the greatest wrestlers of all time holding this title and with it having a lot of surprising challengers of other wrestlers I know about very well on the independents and in any other wrestling promotion in professional wrestling. That's why I'll always respect this title
This title date back to Frank Gotch and George hackenschmidt.
That was the world title I liked most. Regret that Pat O'Connor did not hold the title for over five straights years.
Hell yeah Rev
Frank Gouch Lou Thesz Harley Race Ric Flair Dory Funk Jack Briscoe
Tommy Rich Kerry Von Erich Giant Baba Ronnie Garvin
The cheap bootleg Pakistan championship belts on display hurt his credibility.
Why they ain't show dusty he held it 3 times his self
What version is that? The globe is flat and the font is completely different. It almost looks like a bootleg
current one.
I thought the big gold belt was the NWA world title the big gold belt the Ric flair big gold belt that's the NWA title NWA don't exist
To this day and I’m 60 years old, the NWA world championship is the only one I respect, the only one I’ll pay attention to. Going all the way back Luthers who was my dad‘s favorite and honestly my favorite after watching so much footage of him and thank God it’s out there, he did set the standard for what a world champion should be a shooter, hooker, absolute bad ass. That was Lou, Jack Briscoe was probably the closest thing after that as far as a legit guy who could take anybody. But at the end of the day the NWA champ is still the only one I pay attention to and respect. And I’m glad that Nick Alldis is wearing that strap now, because no one else in my opinion outside of Brock Lesnar could convince me he’s the man.
The Real World Title!
I think Jerry Lawler should win it before he retires
That is the greatest title in the pro wrestling industry no other title compares to it because of how how far it goes back.the who's who's in the business have been nwa champion this belt is defended around the world when others are not the heritage of this title goes back years in this business men like Lou thez, buddy Rodgers, ric flair, ect have held held it all amazing performers in this is business and hall of famers have all been Nwa world champion in there career and what a great one there did have
I own the NWA Domed Globed from Amazon. After owning the title I idolized all the great professional wrestler who has own it from Lou thez,Dory Funk Jr,Harley Race,Jack Brisco,Dusty Rhodes,Ric Flair,Terry Funk and the list go on and on.Such a great legacy.Love the title.
I defeated this shahrinridor for his World championship in a packed house at Newport Mall in Jersey City,NJ!
The best looking belt. Ric Flair was the best ambassador for wrestling ever.
Back in the day the nwa title was the only one that mattered.
Why are you guys using a cheap knock off belt 0:10 for your documentary. . .
The NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship. Is The Be All End All. It is The Measuring Stick for professional Wrestling. When you held that championship everyone knew you were on top of the Mountain you were IT you were Number 1, Plain and simple The Man.
NWA world belt is the real world heavyweight belt.
Domic Rep la nacional wertin aliada a Dominic espertaculo Jack veneno
The big gold belt is the only nwa belt that I matters. This little thing looks cheap. Very cheap. I remember the world class, awa, and bunch of other belts that look so much elegant than this version of the nwa belt.
Is this out yet???
Thank you Mr. Corgan for giving the NWA a new platform to be seen. Even in the darkest years, I credit the unsung champions for keeping the tradition alive.
WWE is too much show. It looks fake. The NWA was best and will always be the best.
Fuck Shane Douglas , yeah I know it wasn’t his idea it was Paul Heyman stupid ass idea but Shane spent his entire career crying and whining about how wrong he was done everywhere he went and the reason he spent so much time in ECW is because he left there three times because he had nowhere else to go. Putting the NWA world title on him should’ve been the highlight of his career but his stupid ass decided that ECW, which is dead and gone and responsible for all the buffoonery we have and wrestling today, was more in Porten than holding the most prestigious title in the history of professional wrestling. What a moron.
How is NWA's new management doing in your opinion? I'd say pretty well, since I KNOW who the NWA champ is.. and didn't know that at all post Ric Flair.
I think this video needs more Jay Cal. I'm just saying.
This is , and will be the Major League in Professional Wrestling since as a kid the NWA became part of everything
The NWA title is the only real world title
It's over, all over, get over it
funny how i am here watching a 6 Year old Video of the NWA most of the comments are that the NWA is dead and the championship means nothing anymore and the title is now defended on bingo halls that has a maximum of 50 people 2018 the championship Cody wins the championship on a 10,000 probably being defended again in a 20,000 seat arena in the g1 supercard thanks all to Mr.Billy Corgan
The real NWA title continuity was carried under the WCW title and then in WWE as the World Heavyweight title. The NWA simply stated the title on WCW is no longer the NWA title so they created a replica of it and claimed that it’s the same title.
I love this belt
The NWA Championship deserved a much better fate than it got, just getting tossed aside by a 2nd rate promotion that went bankrupt in less than 7 years. NWA outlasted ECW. Screw Paul and screw Shane Douglas.
Thanks to Billy Corgan, Ten Pounds Of Gold means something again!
WWF championship is the most prestigious. FACT
In today's standard
Wwe title is garbage.
I own this championship. Whenever I'm feeling low in my life, I put on a suit and Tie, take that title drape it over my shoulder and cut a promo in the mirror. It brings me right back up. I'm married so, I do it a lot. Lol
Keep it up man.. That belt is the holy grail of wrestling.
I have 2 versions and they are both special
I would rather work for njpw then the nwa
Hi Greg! SCW & GOUGE rocks NC!
the nwa is now becoming the wwf jake roberts years
There's a reason why that title was thrown to the wayside later on because the other wrestling companies were tired of the personal politics and not having their contender become a world champion. People like Verne Gagne and Vince McMahon Sr. went on to break away from the NWA to create their own champions.
What I never understand is who books it? Does the title ever stay in one place? Does each territory have to have a lottery number or something to determine the next challenger? Why keep the title on one guy for so long? Who decides to be the next champion? How come no European ever won the world title? Do they still keep the old rules of a title bout?
Josh Waldorf NWA Territory system ran like The Commission(Mafia), Each member of the board which was made up of promoters had a vote on where should the champion head next, who should he lose it, if the championship is vacated like when WCW left the NWA, NWA Board went through a vote on who shouls hold a tournament for the vacated NWA Title & they all agreed that NWA Eastern Championship Wrestling(yeah that ECW) should hold a tournament since after WCW left the NWA, ECW became the number one most televised NWA member.
Josh Waldorf they're been Europeans who held the belt before like Nick Aldis from the UK and current NWA Champ.
The NWA system simply doesn't work now, hasn't since the '80s. If Vince hadn't gone national then somebody else would have by at least the early '90s. That World championship DOES have an incredibly cool history, but sadly it's just that: a relic of the past.
The United Wrestling Network is the territory system done right
M R HARLEY
Whoever buys NWA, (hint: it's WWE), they will have legitimate claim to the World Heavyweight Wrestling Championship that began in 1905 with George Hackenschmidt being the first champion.
Swing and a miss.
